Wye Valley Cakes started as an idea when I was trying to buy cakes for my family while I was on holiday, no matter where  I looked I couldn’t find any without artificial preservatives or sweeteners or hydrogenated vegetable oil. While I have no problem with giving my son an occasional treat of cakes or biscuits I do object to filling him with unwanted chemicals. Unfortunately to prolong shelf life most commercially produced cakes use artificial preservatives and the like. So realising that I am not the only one who does not want to fill their children with unwanted chemicals I decided to start producing traditional home made cakes using only fresh natural ingredients.
